Last updated: April 2026. These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between the guest and Boutique Hotel Belle Époque, Gerechtigkeitsgasse 18, 3011 Bern. They apply to room rental, dining at the in-house Restaurant / Bar, and any other services provided by the hotel. The HotellerieSuisse general hotel terms apply additionally.
1 · Conclusion of contract
The accommodation contract is concluded upon confirmation of the reservation by the hotel — in writing, by email, phone or through the online booking tool. By booking, the guest accepts these terms.
2 · Room handover & return
- Check-in: from 15:00.
- Check-out: by 11:00. Later departure subject to availability; CHF 20 per started hour or a second night from 18:00.
- Early arrival subject to availability and surcharge.
3 · Prices & payment
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF), VAT included (3.8 % accommodation, 8.1 % restaurant), city tax separately. The City of Bern visitor's tax is legally required. Accepted means of payment: cash (CHF/EUR), Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Twint (Apple Pay and Google Pay are currently not accepted). A credit card pre-authorisation may be requested as guarantee on arrival.

For non-refundable rates or promotions the rate's terms apply. Early departure is charged for the entire booked stay.
5 · House rules
- No smoking in all interior areas. CHF 250 cleaning fee in case of violation.
- Quiet hours from 22:00 to 07:00.
- Pets on request, surcharge CHF 20/night.
- Under 16s only accompanied by an adult.
6 · Liability
The hotel is liable within the statutory provisions (Swiss Code of Obligations art. 487 ff). Valuables must be deposited in the safe at reception or the room safe. Liability for cash and valuables is limited to CHF 1,000 under the CO, unless deposited for safekeeping.
7 · Restaurant / Bar
Table reservations can be made by phone, email or online. For groups from 6 persons, a deposit of CHF 30 per person is required. Cancellations are free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.

9 · Applicable law & jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively. Place of jurisdiction is Bern. Should a provision of these terms be invalid, the remainder shall remain in force.
