Beneath its sandstone arcades, part of the UNESCO World Heritage, you stay in a boutique hotel with character: seventeen rooms in four categories and a bar with a boulevard terrace. Outside the door, the Justice Fountain of 1543 has been flowing day and night for nearly five centuries.

Emerald velvet, a mahogany writing desk, historic wooden ceiling coffers. Two tall mullioned windows open onto the Bernese arcades and fill the room with filtered sandstone light each morning. A room for long letters, books, longer sleep.

Suite Klimt

The largest suite of the house (room 41), centrally placed on the upper floor under a sloped ceiling, with Gustav Klimt etchings on the walls. 47 m², almost double a standard room; with a pull-out bed it becomes a family suite for two adults and two children.

Coral walls, a gilded mirror, a blue armchair by the desk, the boldest colour in the house. Daylight through the mullioned windows bathes the room in a warm, smoky glow. Two single beds that combine into a king on request.
